Verizon Business is now making it easier for European-based companies to quickly move to voice-over-IP communications to reduce operating costs and simplify network management.
As part of this strategic move, Dustin Kehoe, principal analyst at Current Analysis (News - Alert) said that Verizon Business is gaining a competitive edge by focusing sharply on global enterprises voice and IP Telephony requirements, particularly in the area of SIP Trunking.

Kehoe noted that Verizon (News - Alert) Business has the largest IP Trunking deployment in Europe with availability across eight countries. With multisite IP Trunking, enterprises can use a centralized PBX (News - Alert) that can support locations in multiple countries and eliminate premises gateways at remote locations.
IP Trunking from Verizon Business (News - Alert) is a premier VoIP solution that enables enterprise customers to implement a centralized IP PBX hub in one European location and to extend VoIP services to other sites across multiple European countries.
Now, companies don’t have to depend on in-country voice trunks and TDM/IP gateways, or use additional IP PBXs at each site. Also, companies can still manage in-country emergency calling capabilities and use local number presence.
Verizon Business is offering their new centralized model of Verizon IP Trunking across eight European countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and the U.K.
According to Rebecca Carr, vice president of global enterprise marketing, Verizon Business, a large number of European enterprises want to cost effectively and rapidly manage their voice services across Europe. The centralized multisite, multi-country design of Verizon IP Trunking can help them achieve this goal.
“Verizon Business continues to expand its VoIP capabilities around the globe. Our focus is on continuing to enhance our capabilities to enable our customers to use smarter communications technologies to make a real difference to their business,” Carr said.
