Pandora (News - Alert) Corp, a manufacturer of personal computer (PC) monitoring software and recovery tools, recently announced that data recovery tools and computer monitoring software will be two good resources for the cyber security awareness month.

In order to remind PC owners about the importance of Internet protection, antivirus software, password and firewall strengths, October is celebrated as cyber security awareness month. This will help in reminding the PC owner about the active steps that need to be taken so as to prevent one from becoming a victim of phishing scams, cyber attacks and identity thefts.

Internet security has become a big issue, especially if child safety is taken into account and it has become pertinent to teach children the right way to navigate safely on the web and avoid revealing personal information. To this end, the company believes that celebrating cyber security awareness month with these two tools in mind will go a long way.

Pandora Corp is laying extra emphasis on these two security areas so as to help PC users to recover lost data and track harmful changes to their PCs.

"So much can happen to your PC, on purpose or by accident, that will affect its performance and, potentially, your safety," said James Leasure, co-founder of Pandora Corp. "The wrong files being moved or deleted can result in a seriously corrupted system. Worse than that, if certain settings get changed or the wrong files get deleted, you may find yourself locked out of online banking accounts or even have your private passwords and personal information opened up to anyone that cares to look.”

One of the solutions of this is the Pandora Monitoring, which can help users save important documents from being lost by keeping records of activities like online banking and can help in case a pay line fails to carry through.

Another device is the data recovery tool, such as the Pandora Recovery, which helps users locate and recover lost or deleted files. This tool is available as a free download and can be used on multiple computers.

"When you toss potential illegal activity into the mix along with being active on social networks where predators can lurk, giving out too much personal information, and the rising trend in vicious cyberbullying tactics, you have even more reason to be monitoring Internet activity of your children with software like our PC Pandora," said Leasure.
