Office Depot has signed an agreement with McAfee to provide McAfee (News - Alert) Internet security solutions to customers through the Company's Tech Depot Services program.

 

Internet and computer security is no more the headache of the companies alone. Because hackers often attack home systems and hack sensitive data such as credit card details and social security numbers, owners of home computers are in need of security solutions for their computers.

 

With this new agreement, Office Depot customers will get either McAfee Internet Security Suite software or McAfee VirusScan Plus software installed before they start using their PCs.

 

Customers can now opt for either "Protection and Performance" or "Premium Protection and Performance" packages.

The Premium Protection and Performance service comes at $139.99 and includes McAfee Internet Security Suite. Office Depot will also configure the PC's settings so they start quickly and save on overall processing times. Office Depot will also remove the unnecessary software that sits at the startup and slows down the system performance for users.

 

This partnership between McAfee and Office Depot is expected to bring a peace of mind for the customers of Office Depot.

 

Recently, Harris Corporation  signed a Federal Systems Integrator Agreement with McAfee to resell all McAfee products and technical services to the federal government. This agreement will reportedly enable Harris and McAfee to deliver the most advanced security and information technology solutions to all of Harris' customers in the federal marketplace.
