Ingate Systems Beefs Up Firewalls and SIParators

Ingate Systems has introduced the Ingate SIParator 96, an enterprise-class Session Border Controller (E-SBC), and the Ingate Firewall 2960. These two high-capacity products enable secure SIP communications such as SIP trunking and Unified Communications (News - Alert) beyond the protected enterprise network.
The firewalls and SIParators solve SIP’s NAT and firewall traversal issues. They allow businesses to adopt and use SIP communications -- including SIP trunking -- to reach users not only within the local area network but outside the enterprise as well.
The firewalls provide enterprise-class security for all SIP and data traffic. The SIParators work seamlessly with existing firewalls and allow the traversal of SIP traffic through the enterprise edge, securing SIP traffic while leaving the firewalling of data to the existing security device.
Steven Johnson, President, Ingate Systems (News - Alert): “Businesses are accelerating their adoption of SIP trunking and are beginning to expand their use of SIP to Unified Communications,” said Steven Johnson (News - Alert), president of Ingate Systems. “This is generating a demand for proven solutions like Ingate’s E-SBCs that can handle the rise in SIP usage.”
