Windstream and iPitomy complete Interoperability Testing

Windstream (News - Alert) and IPitomy have successfully completed interoperability testing between SIP products and services. As a result, Windstream is now interoperable with IPitomy’s Pure IP PBX (News - Alert) platform.

With the integration between IPitomy’s PBX and Windstream services, both the companies will now be able to provide a complete telecommunication solution for businesses of all sizes using SIP trunking as well as traditional TDM services. Moreover, Windstream will now also be able to provide new customers using IPitomy’s (News - Alert) IP PBX high quality bandwidth and SIP telephone service at an attractive price and unparalleled quality of Service.

“We are confident that with this new relationship, we will see an increase of resellers and new customers combining IPitomy’s IP PBX products with Windstream VoIP services,” said Paul Falanga, product manager with IPitomy, in a recent press release.  

“IPitomy sets itself apart from its competitors by providing enhanced features beyond the typical key systems and PBXs of the past,” he added.

Nick Branica (News - Alert), president and CEO of IPitomy said, “IPitomy is happy to add Windstream to our growing list of qualified SIP providers. SIP providers are a very important component to the growth of the IP PBX market and Windstream adds value to our total overall product offering. Open Standards SIP based systems are all about choice.”

In other news, Windstream, a communications and technology company, said that it has received Silver Certification from Cisco.

Windstream claimed that it has surpassed rigorous standards set by Cisco (News - Alert) for networking competency, service, support and customer satisfaction and with the Silver Certification it will be able to provide its customers with more sophisticated levels of support for a variety of data systems and networking solutions. The achievement only acknowledges its commitment to service delivery and technology development.

According to Cisco, the Cisco Silver Certification designation recognizes partners that have either achieved two of the following four advanced specializations: unified communications, routing and switching, security, and wireless LAN; or have achieved the express UC specialization and one of the following advanced specializations: routing and switching, security, or wireless LAN.
