WOW! Business Upgrades Midwest Service Offering
Communications and cloud service provider WOW! Business announced the expansion of its portfolio of broadband data and voice services for businesses with the addition of 10 Gbps Ethernet and session initiation protocol (SIP) trunking services in Evansville, Indiana.
Offering Internet protocol (IP)-based network, data, voice and cloud services for small and mid-sized business, enterprise, government and wholesale customers, WOW! Business owns and operates over 42,000 miles of local fiber-optic and coaxial networks in 19 U.S. markets, along with data centers that provide customers with scalable, low-latency access to national carrier backbones.
"Ethernet and SIP trunking services help businesses lower IT costs and improve productivity," said Brad Cheedle, senior vice president, WOW! Business, in a statement. "We're expanding our presence in Evansville and other Midwest markets by delivering what we believe is a better alternative for fast and reliable voice, data and cloud computing services for thousands of businesses in these important economic centers."
WOW! Business’ new 10 Gbps Ethernet and SIP trunking services will be available to customers in Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Columbus and Evansville metropolitan areas.
The new WOW! Business Ethernet service features four levels of class of service, network performance visibility through the company’s customer monitoring tool and various configurations like E-Line, E-LAN, and E-Tree.
The new WOW! Business SIP trunking service empowers business customers to manage their network calling capacity and accommodate traffic spikes with ease, cites the company. With the help of this service, businesses will be able to experience dedicated voice bandwidth that does not contend with other applications and multiple call capacity packages that eliminates need to purchase excess capacity.
In addition, the new WOW! Business SIP trunking service can also be configured as either SIP or primary rate interface (PRI).
Apart from providing gigabit-capable data services to its customers, the company also provides these customers with its cloud services too.
The WOW! Business cloud services include cloud computing, backup and disaster recovery. Through this facility, customers of WOW! Business Ethernet data services will be able to connect to the company’s cloud and data centers. Consequently, this will empower users with the lowest latency possible, complemented by easy-to-scale cloud computing resources for a more efficient backup and restoration process.
