Birch Communications Named Platinum Level Polycom Choice Partner
Birch Communications, Inc., a technology service provider of IP-based communications, broadband, cloud and IT services, recently announced that today Polycom (News - Alert), Inc. has recognized the company by naming it a Platinum Level Polycom Choice Partner. As a result, Birch will now be able to embrace and extend Polycom's open standards-based video collaboration solutions.
"Becoming a Platinum Polycom Choice Partner is in line with our efforts to be our customers' trusted advisor,” said Chris Aversano, executive vice president and chief operations officer at Birch. “In addition to our investments to achieve Platinum Level Polycom Choice Partner designation, we also continue to provide turnkey onsite setup as part of our onboarding process for new customers."
Birch Communications provides IP-based communications, cloud and managed services to businesses in all 50-states, the District of Columbia, Canada and Puerto Rico. Birch services include: voice, broadband, Internet access, hosted services, managed services, wireless voice, wireless data and many other communications, cloud and managed services. Voice and broadband services are, in most cases, delivered using the Birch secure IP-network. The company recently won a Top 50 placement in the Top 100 Small Call Center competition for 2014 from BenchmarkPortal (News - Alert). Birch Communications was awarded the Top 50 placement after evaluating key metrics against industry peers.
Birch Communications also recently acquired Cbeyond (News - Alert). The acquisition was an all-cash transaction valued at around $323 million. The combined resources of both companies will create a nationwide communications, cloud and managed services provider with close to 200,000 business customers generating revenues of $700 million in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
The company said it will maintain its headquarters in Atlanta, Ga., and will use the Cbeyond facilities to be part of its new operations center for a variety functions including: customer care, engineering, operations, sales, finance and marketing.
