Broadvoice Makes Name in Crowded Market

At last month’s ITEXPO, TMC’s (News - Alert) Allison Boccamazzo met up with Broadvoice, an American provider of hosted voice and data services, to learn how the company differentiates itself in a competitive market. Shawn Jones, Vice President of Business Sales, highlighted Broadvoice’s most attractive qualities while giving us a primer on both the company and its industry.

Broadvoice has had an impressive nine-year history; in just under a decade, some of the big names in industry analysis have commended the service provider. Inc. 500, Deloitte (News - Alert), and VoIP Review have all recognized Broadvoice’s reliability and service, and the majority of their accolades have been awarded in the last five years.

Jones attributes this growing success to four major points: Broadvoice’s “very aggressive price point for world class features,” its truly geo-redundant network, its call quality enhancements, and – the crowning achievement – its domestic network operations center, which the company has kept stateside to provide the highest level of communication and service.

Check out the video below for Jones’s breakdown on the specifics, but I’ll summarize the main trends:

Broadvoice provides real geo redundancy, which is often a sore spot between providers and customers. As Jones explains, “A lot of companies out there say they have geo redundancy, but when you peel back the onion they really don’t. So we pride ourselves on our network and our redundancy in our network.”

The company achieves call quality enhancements via an edge device placed in each customer premise. That edge device gives Broadvoice the ability to actively monitor, scale, and manage voice traffic to each client.

Check out the full interview below for the rest of Jones’s comments on Broadvoice’s model and services, including his breakdown of Broadvoice’s call center. And if you missed this past ITEXPO (News - Alert), plan on hitting up ITEXPO East at the Greater Ft. Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center in Florida, this January 26-28.
