Vertical Communications Boosts the Modern Day Workflow

Prior to Internet communications, places of business had standard working hours, usually 9-5. Now the daily grind has morphed into “always on, always ready,” so that businesses are forced to constantly reinvent how they collaborate and handle their workflow.

The biggest problem has been the generality of the solution that used to be offered to all through these hardware-bound systems. ‘One size fit all’ tendency has never really worked, and evidently fails to acknowledge organizational scale and scope.

The workday looks a lot different in the current landscape; it is no longer required to be physically in the office to perform work tasks.  Much of the credit can be extended to the openness of the Internet, which has shored up many prodigious undertakings from the project management circle, including some exciting propositions from the world of apps. Technology has afforded us the ability to collaborate remotely, with tools that allow users to do more things in more ways than before.

Even the mobile workforce can stay connected to their offices, making it seem as if they never left their desks. Messaging has become more efficient and portability has never been easier. It’s easy to make extended international or interstate calls without incurring huge call costs. When you have a system that can be accessed from anywhere and on any device – desktop or tablet – it becomes so much easier to collaborate despite time and space constraints.

Companies like Vertical Communications (News - Alert) are at the heart of this modern mobile era by helping businesses work better with platforms that combine voice and mobility to connect workforces, regardless of location.

Consider the statistics: between 2005 and 2012, the number of remote employees grew by 80 percent. In order to stay current with the times, businesses need real solutions that enhance, not inhibit the modern workflow.

Vertical helps companies by designing infrastructure that meets their needs; whether it’s premise-based or virtualized, these architectures address newer workflows and remote working.  By adopting a structured approach to business operations using a host of tools, businesses streamline activity flow in the most efficient manner and make best use of the resources of the organization – both human and material.
