VoIP Provider AltiGen Expands Reseller Channel

By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributor

Onecall Telecom, a reseller of communications services in Memphis, Tennessee, is now offering AltiGen’s (News - Alert) products to its customers. AltiGen Communications, a provider of VoIP business phone systems and Unified Communications (UC) solutions for small-to-medium businesses (SMBs), said that Onecall decided to offer AltiGen’s products based on Max Communications Server's rich feature set and scalability.

Continued expansion of their reseller channel is a vital part of AltiGen’s overall growth, and Jeff Kays, vice president of Business Development at AltiGen, recognizes that Onecall Telecom not only brings a solid existing user base but also strengthens their presence in the mid-South region of the United States.

Bob Chance, president of Onecall Telecom, expects AltiGen will allow them to sell into businesses that are looking for a complete UC solution. He noted that when IT managers are searching for a new phone system, often with exacting requirements, AltiGen’s robust feature set with native integration to Microsoft’s (News - Alert) Exchange Server 2007 gives Onecall Telecom a critical advantage to win the deal by instilling high product confidence with the IT manager and often exceeding the organization’s communications requirements.

Expressing his company’s excitement about AltiGen’s lead generation program, Chance said the fact that AltiGen invests marketing dollars on behalf of their reseller channel to assist them in driving incremental business will help accelerate their growth and mutual success.

AltiGen Communications recently added Metro Communication Services to its growing reseller network. As per the agreement, Metro Communication Services, a multi-location reseller of communications services, is offering AltiGen’s products to its customers.

Gene Johnson, chairman and CEO of MetroComm, expects that AltiGen’s Microsoft-based unified communications solutions with native Exchange Server 2007 integration will give their customers exactly the applications they require to run their business.
