snom Technology AG has announced the integration of its session initiation protocol (SIP)-based phone portfolio with Voxitas, a national business class IP telephony service provider (ITSP).
snom's 3xx series voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phones and new snom m3 IP DECT (News - Alert) mobile phone were tested and evaluated, and thereafter received full certification by Voxitas.
The certification confirms that the products are interoperable and deployable with Voxitas' portfolio of certified IP PBX (News - Alert) partners. This enables the service provider to accelerate the delivery of its wholesale VoIP services to the enterprise and residential markets.
snom's 3xx series solutions, which include snom 300, 320, 360 and 370, are business-class, open, standards-based SIP VoIP phones. The series comes with high-resolution grayscale display screens, programmable function keys and advanced business calling features.
The snom m3 IP DECT is the company's first cordless offering and provides an optimal VoIP communications system for the home office, SMB or enterprise.
“snom is a premier developer of advanced, intelligent VoIP handset technology and we are excited to have them achieve certification on our network and join the Voxitas partner program,” said Matt Siemens (News - Alert), vice president of marketing and sales at Voxitas, in a statement.
Siemens added that his company believes that the combination of the Voxitas SIP True Voice Service featuring the Voxitas Quality of Service enabled network and distributed points of presence with snom's desktop phones provides a “compelling value proposition” to the SMB client who will like the reliability, advanced features and affordability of the business-class voice service.
Michael Knieling, executive vice president of marketing and sales at snom, said that this certification highlights that snom phones are fully tested and interoperable with Voxitas' True Voice SIP service, making them ready to deploy with Voxitas and its IP PBX partners through its reseller network.
snom is one of the top proponents of open standards and is interoperable with the broadest array of IP telephony platforms. snom phones offer a comprehensive VoIP security including support for TLS and SRTP protocols and VPN capabilities.
Last week, snom and Camrivox, the developer of Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) software for CRM applications, released Flexor CTI for NetSuite (News - Alert), designed to help simplify integration of desktop-level telephony with CRM.
