TalkSwitch, Covad Deliver Affordable VoIP QoS to Small Businesses

By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributor

TalkSwitch has announced a communications solution using TalkSwitch (News - Alert) and Covad Integrated Access (IA) combined phone and Internet service. The new solution brings quality, performance and even more affordability to small businesses.

This alliance between the two companies will provide small businesses with equipment and services that include all the big business features. All these come with the ease of use, flexibility, reliability and cost-savings they want.

Covad (News - Alert) Integrated Access and Internet service is a truly flexible all-in-one voice and data service that allows small business customers to start with as few as four phone lines and grow one line at a time. TalkSwitch phone systems gives users the freedom and benefits of VoIP, analog and IP phones, auto attendants, voicemail, complete call control and more.

The companies inform that TalkSwitch systems plus Covad Integrated Access combined phone and Internet service is a tested solution and supported by both Covad and TalkSwitch.

Jan Scheeren, president and CEO, TalkSwitch explains that a TalkSwitch 284vs or 288vs and the Covad IA service provides customers with managed bandwidth for QoS, and support for up to 12 concurrent calls. The customers also get unparalleled flexibility with phone numbers and extensions, professional features and complete call control at an affordable price.

"The Covad/TalkSwitch bundle delivers a powerful, all-in-one phone and Internet service for businesses with up to 35 employees per location," said Lee Gopadze, senior vice president and general manager, Covad Branded Services.

He noted that Covad's network can provide maximum call quality and data throughput as it prioritizes voice traffic and automatically allocates all remaining bandwidth to data traffic.

TalkSwitch is the developer of the original owner-friendly phone system for small business. The company was in news earlier this year for appointing NETXUSA as an official distributor of TalkSwitch IP-PBX (News - Alert) phone systems.

Scheeren expects partnership with NETXUSA will provide TalkSwitch resellers the opportunity to work with a recognized player in the sale and distribution of VoIP products and services.

He finds NETXUSA’s (News - Alert) national coverage, expertise and high-touch provisioning capabilities for single and multi-site deployments to be big benefits for many partners, and in turn the end customer.
