Procter & Gamble (P&G) has selected Axway’s business-to-business (B2B) solution for their external managed file transfers (MFT). According to Axway, this partnership will allow P&G to improve its trading partner relationships.
Companies such as P&G, which rely heavily on a smooth functioning network, look to have the best possible technology guarding their supply chains. The company should have a reliable and secure file transfer system in supply chain which makes business easier. A seamless supply chain gets the products faster to the distributors and consumers and makes the business more profitable to the company.
Axway helps orders, invoices, shipment notifications and other messages to flow through its gateway. More than one million files per month can be transferred in this manner and all these must be processed automatically and on time for business to flow. If there are any transmission failures and system downtime, P&G’s entire supply chain will have a negative impact on its profitability.
“Today, smart companies are creating a co-innovation infrastructure to enable higher-level innovation. P&G is a leader in this, leveraging their relationships with partners and other companies, improving success rates with aggressive sustainability and product innovation goals, while realizing increased cost savings. We are thrilled to be a part of P&G’s strategy, and we look forward to continuing our long-standing relationship with the Company,” said Dave Bennett, chief technology officer, Axway.
Axway solution provides various benefits such as consolidation of diverse MFT communications into a single framework; peer-to-peer networking with active dual site failover; automation of manual processes; visibility, security and management of file transfers; and easy onboarding of new partners, regardless of technical capabilities.
Recently, Axway introduced its Financial Exchange solution to help organizations cope with the changing financial landscape. To manage increasing governmental oversight and reduce system maintenance costs, Axway enables banks, market infrastructures and corporations to streamline, consolidate and better manage their secure transmission platforms for multi-channel financial data and transaction processing.
