In effort to strengthen operational efficiency and proactive response for the hosted commercial IT service customers, Belgacom ICT's commercial Data Centre recently deployed an integrated data centre monitoring solution from AccelOps.
AccelOps offers integrated data centre and cloud service monitoring software delivered as a virtual appliance or software-as-a-service “SaaS (News - Alert)” for enterprises and service providers.
According to AccelOps, the integrated approach allows for monitoring of data centre, network infrastructure and cloud environments across service, performance, availability, security and change management.
In a press release, Akin Tatar, data centre manager, Belgacom (News - Alert) ICT, said, "As a leading global service provider, Belgacom must optimize resources and enhance services to extend our competitive advantage and best serve our enterprise customers."
Tatar added, "AccelOps' integrated monitoring platform was selected because of its functional depth, usability, customization, implementation and scalability strengths over the other leading vendors we tested."
With the help of AccelOps' platform, Belgacom ICT is able to monitor, alert, assess and report its data centre hosted services, which support more than 200 commercial enterprise-class customers.
With its strong analytics and powerful cross-correlation engine, AccelOps' integrated data centre monitoring solution features automated discovery and CMDB without agents that allows for easier deployment and administration with broad operational controls.
Utilizing a architectural framework and dynamic Web 2.0 GUI, the platform provides full visibility into service, availability, performance, security, change management, and compliance.
Apart from service monitoring, the platform also features reporting flexibility, multi-tenancy and scalability. In addition, the solution’s integrated monitoring approach and dynamic web GUI provides more effective benefit for root-cause analysis and collaboration across IT functions.
Officials with AccelOps said that the company is offering Belgacom with more visibility into its operations and customer views of all network devices, systems, applications performance and event correlated activity, as well as mapped business services.
Consequently, Belgacom’s team will be able to optimize resources, better pre-empt issues in order to increase availability and maintain SLA commitments, as well as expedite root-cause analysis to reduce MTTR.
