Blue Link telematics program will be launched by Hyundai Motor America in 2011. Cellular connectivity for this telematics program will be provided by Aeris Communications. An announcement in this regard has been made by the nationwide cellular carrier, Aeris (News - Alert) Communications.

Blue Link's performance has been optimized by Aeris Communications by working closely with Hyundai. Hyundai will be able to reach and manage its vehicles in combination with their specialized cellular network infrastructure by leveraging the unique AerFrame platform from Aeris. Safety and security, entertainment, productivity and convenience features will be seamlessly incorporated with a telematics program in the market built by Hyundai.

Hyundai will be provided unmatched access into a cellular infrastructure with AerFrame platform from Aeris. Hyundai will be therefore able to design and implement higher-performing features and functionality. Hyundai will be able to use the entire coverage footprint of nearly all of the CDMA carriers in North America with Aeris. Hyundai will also be able to optimize that coverage for greater speed, reliability and an overall higher level of service

In a press release, Barry Ratzlaff, director of Satisfaction and Service Business Development for Hyundai Motor America, said, "Collaborating with Aeris, Hyundai vehicles will be supported by a strong, high-performance network. Aeris' technology and support brought the improved performance we were looking for."

According to Marc Jones, chairman and CEO of Aeris, the top organization in the U.S’ automotive market is Hyundai after the introduction of Blue Link. The company is excited to work with Hyundai to optimize Blue Link's performance. By working closely, Aeris will be able to drive down costs and also deliver the most value to the marketplace for an embedded telematics solution.

In a release, Jones said, "We are proud to partner with Hyundai as they bring the most extensive portfolio of telematics applications in the industry to their customers."
