Applied Voice & Speech Technologies, a privately held software company in the telecommunication industry is about to roll out the CX-E, the industry's most interoperable Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC) software platform, at the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) Connect Technology Expo in Austin. The software platform will be displayed at the annual event, located at booth #101.
In addition, AVST (News - Alert) will share case studies and best practices for rolling out a UC solution.
DIR Connect includes DIR contracted technology vendors together with IT and purchasing staff from state agencies, local and county government, and K-12 and higher education, to raise awareness about all of DIR's key program areas including co-op contracts, data center services, communications technology services, security and the state’s website, Texas.gov.
AVST designed CX-E with support of the collection of technologies from multiple vendors that comprise enterprise communications landscapes. By deploying CX-E, companies can avoid single vendor lock-in, achieve high availability and disaster recovery objectives and centralize their UC infrastructure into a data center/ private cloud configuration.
The company offers productivity-enhancing applications that include unified messaging; speech recognition; context-aware personal assistants; mobile client; automated attendant; call processing; voicemail; fax; notification and other business process integration capabilities.
"Government agencies and educational institutions are a key focus for AVST,” said Denny Michael (News - Alert), AVST VP of marketing. “We have more than 1,400 federal, state and local government entities and 1,100 educational institutions using our UC platform today. We provide these broadly-recognized contracts to optimize the often-lengthy procurement process. In addition, we have tailored our UC platform to meet the communications needs of these entities as they look for solutions that will help them modernize their infrastructure and improve their processes and productivity to better service the public."
AVST delivers the industry's most interoperable Unified Communications (UC) platform that brings best-of-breed voice, mobility and business process applications to the enterprise.
