The level of connectivity digital technology provides makes employees available all the time; this, of course, has its pros and cons. While getting the person you need any time is a great thing, each interruption can add up to hours of lost productivity. Studies conducted on this very subject have revealed the typical worker goes through interruptions totaling 28 percent of the day. That is 2.1 hours of productivity lost per person every single day. Embrava, an office productivity company, has entered into a partnership with Westcon-Comstor (News - Alert) to integrate its Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) Solutions Practice with the Embrava Blynclight and Lumena product lines to more effectively manage the workforce environment.

Time is one of the most important and valuable commodities for businesses, and if it is not properly managed just like any other resource, it will have negative consequences in productivity levels and the eventual success of the company. Embrava was established to develop tools that help organizations lower interruptions and distractions in the workplace and solve the time management problems they face.

The Embrava Blynclight status light is designed to let employees know when any one of them is on call, busy with a deadline or available to chat with programmable features that automatically sync your status with Skype for Business/Lync, Cisco Jabber, RingCentral Cisco Finesse, Skype and CounterPath (News - Alert) Bria. A simple glance at the Blynclight and they can see whether someone is available or not. The new Lumena headset also has the status light built into it so everyone can see when someone is busy.

“Embrava's proven technologies integrate with many leading UCC platforms, helping our customers build more complete, profitable solutions and ultimately reduce employee distractions,” said Barat Dickman, vice president and general manager of the Westcon-Comstor UCC Solutions Practice.

As part of this partnership, these notification features are going to be integrated with the Westcon-Comstor Unified Communications (News - Alert) and Collaboration solution to optimize business productivity and workflow.

The Westcon-Comstor UCC gives solution providers and vendors training supporting the Embrava Partner Program while providing sales and presales support to solution providers with demonstration and beta programs. Using physical and digital distribution networks, the company has created a system with local partners with the necessary expertise to take advantage of worldwide opportunities that include vendor-authorized training, business-extending lifecycle and professional services, and future-forward enablement tools.

“Westcon-Comstor's channel-centric focus and flexible, collaborative approach made the company a natural fit to help accelerate our channel sales. In addition, their expertise and experience make them a true leader in UCC solutions distribution. We look forward to working with them to cultivate, capture and keep new business opportunities,” said Maurizio Fragasso, head of Global Channels at Embrava.

The Westcon-Comstor Unified Communications and Collaboration integration with the Embrava Blynclight and Lumena product lines is now available.
