Welcome back to the week in review, where we take a look at all the top stories making headlines in Unified Communications this week.
The week started off with the news that Extra Space Storage has tapped RingCentral (News - Alert) Inc. to provide it with cloud-based communications and collaboration solutions. These services will replace the self-storage company’s multiple legacy systems. “We needed to unify our distributed retail locations with a mobile-centric communications solution that enables our employees to stay connected no matter where they are,” said Bron McCall, senior vice president of IT at Extra Space Storage. Next up, Arkadin, a NTT Communications (News - Alert) company, announced the launch of its new solution, Arkadin Vision, in Latin America. According to the announcement, Arkadin Vision is a digital meeting space that seamlessly connects audio, Web and video for a unified meeting experience. Given how disjointed meetings can be as presenters try to get everything in order, this will be a welcome change to operations. Full details are HERE.
Meanwhile, Evolve IP (News - Alert) announced this week that BCM One will begin offering the company’s complete suite of integrated cloud solutions. The technology solutions provider will now be offering Evolve IP’s disaster recovery; contact centers; unified communications/business collaboration, desktop services and infrastructure as a service. Everything you need to know is HERE.
Finally, the week rounded out with the news that Voxox has hired a new EVP of Sales. Kevin Weber will be joining the team and, by the looks of his resume, he is more than qualified for the job. He seems enthusiastic about the appointment, saying, “My greatest strength and passion lies in taking a sales organization to the next level.” You can continue reading HERE.
That’s all for this week. Come back next week to read all the latest news in the Unified Communications space.
