Every championship team is built on every player working toward one goal, winning as one. And this starts with communications, both on the field and off. This week, one of the Premier League’s prominent participants took a step in the direction of exceptional communications, top to bottom – for fans and execs alike.
Today, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club announced the selection of Mitel (News - Alert) for a trifecta of tasks at its new stadium. Mitel will provide unified communications infrastructure, multi-channel contact center platform and additional tools to enhance customer service.
"We are pleased to welcome Mitel on board as our Official Unified Communications (News - Alert) Supplier," noted Matthew Collecott, Director of Finance & Operations, Tottenham Hotspur. "Mitel powers more than two billion connections every day and we are confident in its ability to provide communications solutions to meet the demands of our iconic new stadium and the wider business."
The Mitel maneuver will not only elevate operations in a future-forward stadium, but it also brings team communications into the digital age. Now enabling a wider range of collaboration, mobility and customer service tools, the Tottenham Hotspur deployment builds on a tradition of success in MLB stadiums and arenas worldwide.
"Premier League Stadiums are more than sports venues today, and the technology in place must ensure real-time communications between staff and with guests," said Jeremy Butt, Senior Vice President International, Mitel. "We are excited to be working with Tottenham Hotspur employees to help them connect with colleagues and fans as quickly and effectively as required."
The cloud is touching all verticals, empowering a new age of connectivity and communications. In hopes of providing Premier League fans a premium experience Tottenham is turning to this transformational technology. Well played.
