FreedomVOICE Systems, a provider of virtual office solutions, is reporting today that installers of traditional PBX
hardware are overcoming the challenges of VoIP Hosted PBX (News - Alert) systems with FreedomIQ.
One of the reasons for the popularity FreedomIQ VoIP
Hosted PBX service with traditional PBX installers, according to the company, is that it does “100 percent of the technical support.” Installers have to only install telephones, and do not require help of additional technical personnel, company officials say.
FreedomIQ is also simple to demonstrate onsite and customers like the “superior VoIP qualitym,” company officials said.
Officials said that installers receive ongoing commissions long after an initial sale, saying that installers often generate more income with FreedomIQ than a traditional PBX sale.
“Like everyone else, PBX installers must adapt to new technology,” said Eric Thomas, founder and chief executive officer of FreedomVOICE, adding that many customers are attracted to the economy, the scalability and the convenience of hosted PBX systems. He added that if installers want to stay competitive, they must supply the solution as an option.
Since the estimated market of hosted and iPBX is 4 million customers per year, many inexperienced providers, in a rush, have started to sell underdeveloped, difficult-to-use, user interfaces, company officials say.
Distinguishing itself from more inexperienced providers, FreedomVOICE, in the telephony field since 1996, says that it supplies customers with WebLINK, a user friendly, fully tested personal Internet control panel.
“About half of the PBX market is looking for hosted solutions,” said Jason Silvis, an agent of Telepathy Networks, LLC. “If you don’t offer it, you lose that half.”
“Our customers are starting to ask for hosted services,” said Jeff Fraser of Global Communications 2000, a nationwide telecommunications consulting company. “One reason we offer them FreedomIQ, is that its web portal is easy to operate and easier to sell.”
