MyVoIPProvider.com, a provider of consulting services to the voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) industry, has listed what it claims to be the top five residential VoIP providers to help callers in the U.S. plan finances and save money on bills this summer season.


These top five residential VoIP providers include: Axvoice, VOIPo, ITP, Phone (News - Alert) Power and VoIP.com.

Axvoice offers low-priced residential VoIP plans, apt for all type of callers. Its Pay As You Go plan is for $4.99/month per line, plus $0.019/minute for each call, thereby making it ideal for callers who only need the bare minimum amount of calling per month.

For users who seek unlimited calling, Axvoice offers its unlimited U.S. and Canada plan for $8.25/month per line. In addition, all its VoIP plans come with more than 30 free features, such as caller ID, telemarketer blocking and voicemail.

Holding the second top-most position is VOIPo, a Southern California-based residential VoIP provider. With VOIPo, users will have to pay only $6.21/month per line with a two-year contract for unlimited Internet calling throughout the U.S. and Canada. In addition, all users get more than 40 monthly features, such as caller ID, call blocking and three-way calling.

One more low-priced nationwide and International Internet calling option is ITP, also a home VoIP provider. Its unlimited calling plan for the U.S. and Canada is just $9.99/month per line.

Users can even upgrade to ITP’s Global Unlimited plan for $24.99/month per line, which offers unlimited access to 60 countries worldwide, including Spain, China, the U.K. and Turkey. In addition, all ITP users get many free features, such as call blocking, call waiting and more.

Phone Power is another provider on the list and is ideal for users who want to invest their money all at once and not worry about monthly bills for the rest of the year, as it allows users to buy one year of home VoIP service and get the next year for free. With this, users will have to pay a flat $199 for two years of service, which equals out to an average $16.58/month per line.

In addition, Phone Power is also features an iPhone (News - Alert) mobile app that allows users to utilize low-priced mobile VoIP on the go with their smartphones.

VoIP.com is the fifth provider listed. All of its domestic plans include unlimited Internet calling to the U.S. and Canada, as well as 60 free minutes for international calling. Its residential plans include a free second line and number portability. Users will have to pay upfront for one year of residential VoIP phone service, which breaks down to $12.50/month per line. And, as users get the second line for free, it equals out to a cheap $6.25/month per line.
