A life full of celebrations is quite pleasing for everyone, and these are the unique occasions that add variety to our otherwise stereotyped lives. Festivities mean new clothes, accessories and various ideas for celebrations. Let us analyze different Google (News - Alert) search terms this year for various festivities round the corner.

If we make a close analysis of the top Google festive search terms, then we will notice that the interests pertaining to Christmas start well in advance. The season sees the rise in hunting for the ideal hotels, Christmas breaks and from September to November this can be termed as the peak time. Here are some Google Trends on terms and keywords that may guide you not just as a website owner but also as an avid shopper.

“Festive Pages for the New Year and Christmas”

If you are running a website, it is recommended that you should use the festive keywords like Christmas and New Year to make the festive content before it is late. The peak season is the prime time, and you must focus to have your content posted for maximum SEO before the onset of the peak season.

Now all of us are aware of how Google works and so it is wise to have definite festive pages for definite festive occasions. For example, you may include New Year and Christmas keyword phrases on your web pages. These pages must be available by autumn so that they may be categorized correctly by the search engines.

“Gift Vouchers”

Now Gift Vouchers are something that can attract immediate traffic, and it is seen that people use this search term because there isn’t a soul on the planet who is not fascinated by gift vouchers and discount coupons! Gift vouchers can appear on your website by mid-November. Gift Voucher Pages must also be fully optimized and paid search budgets must be enough so that they are advertised properly. It is recommended that you should also consider a re-marketing campaign for improving frequency.

“October, Halloween Trends”

Now that Labor Day is gone, it is time for people to plan for the Halloween costume. A perfect Halloween costume is desired by many and in October there is a rising trend for checking them out! Among the top trends, you will notice that the Pirate costume, Batman costume, Ninja Costume, Disney (News - Alert) costume, Superman costume, Monster or Werewolf costume, Power Ranger costume, Witch costume and Vampire costumes have been most sought after in Google searches.

Apart from the Halloween costume trends last year, people have also surfed with keywords like Halloween 2012 Events, Party ideas, Asda Halloween, cakes and cupcakes that can be served with accessories and make up apart from the costumes. Again another aspect noted is the time when they are most sought after. It is noticed that people have partied harder for Halloween and it is celebrated on the weekends like in the previous years.

“Welcoming New Year’s, Travel Plans”

If you are planning on making seasonal content then better prepare for the New Year well in advance. It is meant mainly for people who have bookmarked your URL. Now January is great for travel and a rising trend in Google searches is seen for destinations, travel, hotels and touring companies presently. People are already planning to pack their bags from now!

“Spa, Golf, Gym and Romance”

Pampering also goes high in the peak season-people look out for Spas, Gyms and beauty salons so that they may get the right look. This increase in the trend is seen till Valentine’s Day. Well the peak season also sees a rise in the wedding planning related search terms, as has been analyzed.
